Specimens of Quartz Geodes, collected from the Sahara Desert, Morocco. These specimens are the fragments of geodes with a quartz lining. Geodes form as pockets of air in magma, when temperature differences result in a slower rate of cooling and thus larger crystals inside the pocket. Specimens come in lots of 1kg, in a heavy duty polythene bag. Pieces are of various sizes.
