Lapis Lazuli (“A” Grade) – Afghanistan

$22.17 $37.91
Fantastic specimens of high grade Lapis Lazuli, collected from Afghanistan. Despite beliefs of lapis lazuli being a mineral and gemstone, it is in fact a metamorphic rock. Lazurite is the primary mineral that contributes to its distinct blue colouration. Calcite and pyrite are the other constituent minerals that make up this rock. These specimens are extremely high grade, exhibiting a much richer blue colouration than our standard lapis lazuli. Specimens measure around 1 – 1.5″ and come in a polythene bag or white card tray with an information label.
