Specimens of Malachite, collected from the Congo, Africa. Malachite is a copper mineral which has long been used by humans as a source of copper. it is easily recognisable due to its green colouration.The mineral forms deep underground, often fractures or spaces where the water table and hydrothermal fluids provide the means for chemical precipitation, leaving malachite veins or pockets behind. These samples are a vibrant green in colour. Specimens are available in multiple sizes and come in a white card tray with an information label.
