Galena is the primary ore of lead – a sulphide – and usually forms as vibrant-blue veins within country rock. In this specimen it is accompanied by the rare carbonate, Strontianite. Strontiante is a rare carbonate containing strontium, a rare alkaline element discovered in Scotland. Specimens come in a white card tray with an information label.
