Sample of adamellite granite from the famous Shap Fell, in Cumbria. Also known as Shap granite, the samples are composed of typical granitic minerals including quartz, feldspar and mica. The samples contain large amounts of feldspar crystals, giving the Shap granite an overall pink colouration. The granite its’ self is renowned world wide for its strength and beautiful colour making it a popular rock for use in kitchen desktops, tables, head stones and more. The samples come from the Shap Quarry, Shap Fell, Cumbria and are supplied in a polythene bag in lots of 1 kg with a label.
