My Skin Does Not Feel Rescued I was out of body lotion and face cream and game to try new products. Advanced Clinicals Skin Rescue Collagen Lotion and Advanced Clinicals Plant Based Collagen Multi-lift Moisturizer set seemed like a good place to start. After reading a review of Advanced Clinicals Anti Aging Retinol Rescue Cream, I jumped at the opportunity to buy this brand’s fragrance free products.After going over Advanced Clinicals’ products, I decided to buy the Collagen Skin Rescue Lotion and the Collagen Multi-Lift Moisturizer set instead. I’ve never used a retinol, and I have a lot of glycolic acid products that should be used before transitioning to retinol even though these products can work together.I was seriously needing something moisterizing for my skin but the Skin Rescue Collagen Lotion isn’t nearly as hydrating as the manufacturer suggests. A few hours after applying, my skin looks ashy and does not feel hydrated. Honestly, my store brand cocoa butter lotion works better than this scientifically tested and used by dermatologists product.Advanced Clinicals products are used in spas and by medical professionals to treat post surgery scars and injections. The body cream’s ingredient list is chock full of moisterizing ingredients such as glycerin, aloe vera, collagen, and green tea to help lift, tighten, and hydrate skin. Sadly, I have yet to see the benefit of said ingredients.I wasn’t happy with the Advanced Clinicals Plant Based Collagen Multi-lift Moisturizer either for the same reasons; it didn’t leave my skin feeling or looking healthy. I don’t usually return items unless I REALLY dislike them and I was seriously on the verge of doing so.My face needed some serious attention; it was looking dull, textured, and unhappy. I couldn’t understand why the face cream (it’s light with a gel-like consistency) which includes 2% marula oil, hyaluronic acid, and ginseng wasn’t absorbing.After deep cleaning with an exfoliating scrub, dermaplaning, pore vacuuming, and an exfoliating toner, the collagen face moisturizer worked much better. I put on a super serum before applying so I’ll have to use it without a serum to fully gauge if my issues were merely due to dead skin.I’ll probably add an almond oil and/or glycerin to the Advanced Clinicals Skin Rescue Collagen Lotion (which can be used on the face as well) because otherwise, it leaves my skin looking as if I’ve lost all hope.I can only assume the the Advanced Clinicals Anti Aging Skin Rescue Retinol Cream works much better due to the hype. I’ll give the Advanced Clinicals Skin Rescue Collagen Lotion more time and perhaps increase the amount. But if I have to McGyver it to get better results, I’ll probably forgo giving this brand another try.
